RootsCamp of Miami Valley

Former Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner will keynote RootsCamp Miami Valley 2011. It will be held at the  Greene County Job & Family Services Media Room, 541 Ledbetter Rd, Xenia (next to US42 just north of the US 35 Xenia bypass) from 8:30 AM to 5 PM on Saturday June 18.  Similar to state and national RootsCamps, it will be an open conference for those interested in progressive political subjects.  It will feature an open forum where participants will schedule topics that they will lead.  In addition to the keynote address and general opening and closing meetings, there will be five topic session periods of 70 minutes.  Four parallel series are planned for a total of twenty topic sessions.  Dr. Don Nguyen, President of the Ohio Chapter of Doctors for America, plans to lead a session on current and proposed national health care laws.  Others plan sessions on Ohio legislation including Senate Bill 5, national economics, and specific candidate campaigns.  A wide variety of topics, as determined by attendees, will complete the agenda.  Lunch will be arranged.   Ample parking is available. provides more details.  Please email with plans to attend or questions.
